Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp? I'm going to the July 11th session. I went last year for the first time as a freshman, and it was amazzingggggg. So. Tell me some good stories if you've gone. I live really close to BL, and I got a scholarship both last year and this year. And then I got some money help from people that donate to BL. So tell me your stories =] ps. on youtube, they have a vid from last year during a storm and i was taking a shower when that happened. haha, just something funny that happened to me. And our cabin counselor lady stuck glow stick up her nose and i totally got the most packages out of everyone in my cabin. bahaha.

Blue Lake fine arts camp in Michigan? I'm going there Wednesday, and is there anything I need to know there? I'm going there for soprano singing. I heard the cabins arn't in good shape, the food is bad, and there's lots of mosquitoes. 1)Is it worth it to go? 2)How long is a minor for? 3)what happens if you bring a cell phone/camera there, but only use them in the cabin? 4)How am I going to know who's clothes is whos? because they're all going in the same washer, arn't they? 5)what kind of food do they serve there? because I'm a person that likes to eat, [but not i'm not fat in case your wondering lmao] 6)what about the pool there? 7)will I get a FARMERS TAN on my feet? 8)what would happen if I got into trouble for my clothes? 9)will I make friends there? 10)how much spending money should I bring there? and if there's anything else I need to know, please tell me! :] thanks!<3

Girl replied: "first of all, it gets really cold at night - the more you pack the better i've heard that there's a mouse problem in some of the cabins and they get really really hot during the day the food is like cafeteria food but the salad bar is really good BRING INSECT REPELLENT its definitelly worth it minors are 55 min. after lunch you can't use a cell phone no matter what and you're allowed to bring a camera you're supposed to label your clothes with your name on the tags pool is pretty nice - mostly clean better get used to sand - there's sand everywhere - like in the middle of the forest the people are really nice you'll probably do fine with $50 have fun! it's a great experience"

Russanya replied: "I have! I was there in 2001, and did the Blue Lake international orchestra in 2002...a long time ago when I was still in high school. I loved it, but the sand drove me nuts. I was recovering from bronchitis the first time I went...I swear, I coughed up sand for a month afterwards. The international tour was amazing, though. We went to France! Major- Viola Elective- Art (mostly sketching and watercolors) Cabin- Novella Unit- well it was 7 or so years ago...I don't remember the unit anymore."
